The paper of our member, prof. Juan Gabriel Cegarra, titled, "The effect of organizational memory on organizational agility: Testing the role of counter-knowledge and knowledge application", has won the Outstanding Paper award in the 2021 Emerald Literati Awards. This award-winning research was published in the Journal of Intellectual Capital by Silvia Martelo Landroguez and prof. Cegarra from Universidad de Sevilla, & Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena and it has been made freely available and can be downloaded on: https://lnkd.in/gUXfwBEC

Our member, prof. Eric Tsui from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University received two awards recently. First one is the “Knowledge Management Award 2021” (Individual Award) conferred by Knowledge Management Austria and the Knowledge for Development Partnership (K4DP) in recognition of his outstanding accomplishments in the field. Prof. Tsui is also a Platinum Winner for the Learn Live! Award 2021 (Australia) in the category of Best Pandemic Response – Elearning design. He has designed and operationalised the "Global Classrooms" which enable Internationalisation to continue at PolyU without any need for travelling. Through use of technologies and new pedagogies, the Global Classroom enables PolyU students to co-learn with students and teachers from third party institutions thereby gaining transcultural knowledge and practising collaborations and communications. Our member, dr Florian Kragulj has successfully presented and defended his Habilitation thesis and have been awarded the Venia docendi (i.e., 'Privatdozent') for Business Administration by the Vienna University of Economics and Business, where he continues to work as a Senior Scientist of Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning. His Habilitation thesis entitled "Knowledge Management and Sustainable Value Creation: Needs as a Strategic Focus for Organizations" is about to be submitted to Springer to be published in the IAKM KM book series. Due to the high numbers of corona infections, the organizers had no choice but to move the 17th ICKM from March to June 2022. The new conference dates are: Thursday, 23rd. and Friday 24th. June 2022.
