IAKM PANEL ON “"Big data for knowledge management, knowledge management for big data" at IFKAD 2017 in St Petersburg
On 7th June, IAKM co-organized a panel discussion on the topic of KM and Big Data. Panelist were Meliha Handzic (International Burch University - Sarajevo), Ettore Bolisani (University of Padova), Enrico Scarso (University of Padova), Tatiana Gavrilova (Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg), all members of IAKM, and our colleague Daniela Carlucci (University of Basilicata).

Our members, Dr. Prof. Constantin Bratianu and Dr. Alexandra Zbuchea, organize a special track on Knowledge Management and Intellectual Capital during the Strategica International Academic Conference 2017. Our Association organizes a Doctoral Workshop on the future of KM: short-time goals and long-term vision in advance of the main European Conference on Knowledge Management (ECKM) 2017. The Knowledge Management Doctoral Workshop will focus on the subjects of KM research, practice and teaching and learning. Experts from IAKM will share their views with workshop participants with the ultimate aim to enhance the KM learning of early career researchers (to include PhD candidates) and to encourage knowledge share and networking amongst participants.

The free summer school "Innovations in KM Practices" will be held at Graduate School of Management SPbU next June 10-11, 2017, right after the conference IFKAD 2017. The school for young researchers “Innovations in KM Practices” includes lectures, seminars, panel discussions and workshops by leading Russian and foreign researchers. Our member, prof. Eric Tsui from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University recommends the only full KM course offered in MOOC, entitled Knowledge Management and Big Data in Business. It is now in the 4th delivery with new and expanded content. There are than 46,000 registered since its launch in Aug 2015. Our member Eduardo Tomé reports on the TAKE (Theory and Applications in the Knowledge Economy) Conference which he co-chaired. TAKE 2016 happened in July 6-8 2016 in Aveiro, Lisboa. It was organized with the collaboration of GOVCOPP Research Centre from Universidade de Aveiro. There were 80 participants, 60 sessions, and 900 pages Proceedings. There were also 3 Keynotes and 3 Special Sessions. Members of IAKM were decisive - Aino Kianto and Constantin Bratianu as keynote speakers, José Maria Viedma in a Special Session.
